Nice old darning egg with a lovely patina; appears to be made of olive wood. Marked in faint lettering with "Jerusalem" in both Hebrew and English. Age unknown, but these kinds of needlework items were very common souvenirs during the mid to late 1800s, and examples of souvenir darning eggs very similar to this have been definitively dated to that era.

This egg shows many honest signs of wear and age; there are lots of scratches, cracks and dents. It has a wonderful solid and weighty feel in the hand. It's a tool that's been used well and frequently over the decades, and it would probably be happy to be used some more.
