Shipping Charges:
We're now hooked into Canada Post's electronic shipping database and can provide actual, real-time shipping costs to you as you place your order. There are no handling or materials fees added in - just the pure cost of shipping to you, clear and simple. Doing this allows us to keep our stock prices as low as possible.
We provide Free Shipping for orders over $200 to all destinations in Canada and the continental USA.
Currencies
The default currency that we use to set our prices is the Canadian dollar. If you use the "Currencies" box in the sidebar to select a different currency to browse the site in, you'll find that (over time) our prices will fluctuate with the current exchange rate between the Canadian dollar and the currency you've chosen. This happens automagically as the site software compares its internal rates with the current bank rates listed on the international exchanges.
Methods of Payment
You can pay for your order in any currency that's convenient for you - it's not necessary to convert your payment to Canadian dollars.
We accept the following methods of payment:
- Personal Check or Money Order: When you pay by check, your order will be shipped after the check clears our bank. US and International customers can avoid long delays by sending certified checks.
- Credit and Debit Cards, eChecks: We take credit and debit card payments through Paypal only. This is due to the high fees charged by banks and credit card companies to open a merchant gateway account - we'd rather use Paypal and pass the savings on to you.
- Canadian Tire Money: Yes, we really do accept it. If it's a large amount, you will want to insure and track your packet through the Post Office to guard against loss. When you go through the checkout procedure for your order, indicate that you will be paying by Check or Money Order.
We are based in Ontario, so Canadian residents will be charged GST or HST depending on what your province charges; Ontario residents will be charged HST.
Shipping
Unless otherwise notified, you can expect your order to be packed up and sent out to you within 2 business days of receipt of payment. You will receive an email notification when your package goes out. Orders sent to the United States or other International destinations will be accompanied by the appropriate customs paperwork, including a full and accurate valuation of the contents. Payment of any and all applicable duties and taxes levied by your country are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
If you have a particular carrier that you'd like us to use instead of Canada Post, please feel free contact us and ask if it's possible - we do have FedEx, UPS and Purolator offices nearby, and we'd be happy use your preferred carrier if you have an account with them. Let us know before you place your order so that we can work any necessary magic with the shipping calculator in the software.
All orders are fully insured against damage and loss in transit; please let us know immediately if there are any problems so that we can resolve them for you as soon as possible.
