50% superwash merino wool, 50% silk. Just... wow. This is a marvellous choice for a shawl or large scarf. Incredible drape, lovely shine.

Although the wool has been superwash treated, keep in mind that silk is more delicate - you'll want keep your temperatures as low as possible during the dyeing process, and gently handle the yarn when it's very wet.

Machine wash cool on the gentlest cycle, or hand wash your finished project; tumble dry at low temp setting for 15 minutes and then lay flat to finish drying. If it feels a bit crunchy or scroopy when it's fully dried, giving it a bit of abuse when will bring back its softness.

Light fingering weight, 2/6 nM.  Approximately 350 meters (380 yards) per 115 gram skein.

Recommended gauge: about 7 or 8 stitches per inch.

Undyed yarns are stored and sold with the spinning oil still in; give your skeins a bath with a gentle detergent or wool wash to remove it before dyeing, and bring up the full bloom of the yarn.
